Thanks for putting time into setting this up. I get the idea of using metadata for easier search, and it definitely makes sense. But if we add metadata, shouldn’t the search be better even without changing the folder structure we’re all used to? This way, we’d get the benefit of both — faster search and the familiar locations we already navigate.

Maybe we can keep the folder order while still using metadata to improve search?

Okay, thanks for explanation.

I spent a full day, re-organizing our cloud for Edgars onboard. I sorted all missing invoices and quotes for past customers, together with some information on what blades we coated for them, what turbines, etc. etc. Since we are having a new employee I made everything easily accessible, starting from all of our past presentations, customer information and show reports. How can Edgars find all of that information now?

If I have to find a previous PO that was issued for customer with a document name “PO182431-12454”, how can I locate that? I need to make an invoice for Exporting out of EU, but with the current state of our cloud it’s impossible.

I’d appreciate if such things could be at least brought to us for information. There was 0 discussion before all of my efforts were deleted.

Thanks

The goal is to have a flat document library (meaning without folders) that we will be able to easily browse and locate specific documents when requested. I have added metadata to almost all the files which will make locating the documents much easier, and most importantly all of the documents will be under the same tab instead of spread across the entire Sharepoint. My goal is to finish this before the next CRM meeting, so that I can better explain how to navigate the new library.

Hi Spencer,

Thanks for update. What’s the goal with our sharepoint then?

Hi Matiss,

I’m currently in the process of reorganizing the Sharepoint Library, all of the documents you mentioned have been moved to the tab labeled “All company documents”, and you can either search for the document directly or filter the view by department and document type. There will be no more folders in the new Sharepoint library.

Best,

Hi Team,

I might be dumb, but I cannot find our old sharepoint. Under phazebreak Home, I cannot find any of the Customers, or Presentations or Trip reports folder, it seems that all of that has been deleted. I was trying to find the husum report I made.

Can someone help me? Feel free to call,

Thanks
